Fenix ​​GL06 flashlight — it is a specialized lighting device for police officers and security guards who use weapons in their activities. The design of the flashlight provides for fixation on a pistol with a Picatinny rail or Glock. Fastening is done with one hand movement: for this, you need to move the side panel all the way down in the direction of the closed lock symbol. Separate keys are included for each bar.

One built-in LED with a color temperature of 5000K, identical to daylight. This is a Cree XPL HI diode that emits lighting with a brightness of 400 to 600 lumens depending on the type of power cell. At maximum power, the beam covers a distance of 140 meters, providing high-quality illumination of objects of any size. The diode is covered by an optical lens of minimal thickness. The element is manufactured using patented technology, which makes the light as clean as possible and prevents the occurrence of artifacts.

Operating modes

The interface includes several light options: constant + flashing. Parameters such as the power and duration of the glow depend on the battery inserted in the lantern. It can be the ARB-L16-700UP battery, which is included in the set, or one CR123A lithium battery.

• If the model is powered by the ARB-L16-700UP battery, the light output reaches 600 lumens, the intensity — 4880 candelas, and the duration of work is 50 minutes. In this case, the maximum illumination of the space up to 140 meters is achieved.
• If a CR123A battery is used instead of a battery, the brightness of the lighting drops to 200 lumens, but the lantern shines longer, namely 1.5 hours.

The manufacturer has provided protection against overheating in the lantern, so the specified brightness parameters are temporary. Once the internal electronics heat up to 55°C, the protection circuit will automatically reduce the light output, preventing a malfunction.

Control Features

The Fenix ​​GL06 is equipped with dual control buttons, one on each side of the housing. The switches have the same functionality, allowing the user to control the light with the right or left hand depending on personal preference.

• To quickly activate the light, one of the buttons must be held down for 1 second. If you release the button, the light will turn off.
• One short press of any button is enough to activate constant lighting. The next press will turn off the light.
• Stroboscope is activated by holding one switch and simultaneously short-clicking the second switch.

Power source

If the maximum brightness of the light is a priority, then the best option for powering the Fenix ​​GL06 is the Li-ion battery ARB-L16-700UP — proprietary cell with form factor 16340. The battery capacity reaches 700 mAh, and immunity to temperature jumps and "memory effect" extends its service life.

This power supply is equipped with a Micro-USB port, so you only need a cable to charge it without additional devices. At the moment of connecting the USB cable to the charging port on the power cell, an indicator is activated, which lights up in red during charging, and lights up green after the process is complete.

If the user does not have the opportunity to charge the battery, a CR123A battery can be used instead.

It is necessary to take into account that the brightness of the light decreases step by step as the charge in the power cell decreases. The model will notify the user by flashing three times with a frequency of 3 Hz, if the voltage is less than 3.2 V. The flashing will repeat every 2 minutes.

The body of the Fenix ​​GL06 is made of A6061-T6 aluminum alloy, which combines strength and lightness. Thanks to this metal, the model is not afraid of falls from a meter height and weighs only 69.1 grams, which minimally affects the weight of the weapon and does not complicate aiming. Aluminum is additionally anodized to achieve maximum corrosion resistance.

The waterproofing class of the lantern reaches IPX7 and allows submersion of the structure in water to a depth of 1 meter without negative consequences for the internal electronics. The case has compact dimensions: 61 x 28.15 x 23.5 millimeters. The flashlight and all accessories are delivered in one box measuring 117 x 104 x 37 millimeters.
