What Strength and Wear Resistance Tests Does M-GEAR Tactical Equipment Undergo

Main fabrics, webbing, D-rings, edges of pockets, compartments, seams, and critical zones in the gear are necessarily subjected to tensile and shear loads significantly exceeding real operating conditions. In addition, products are exposed to intensive impact of solid particles, passing a test for abrasive resistance.

Hardware is tested not only under load but also by numerous cycles of operation with contaminants (sand, dirt, moisture). Close attention is paid to absolutely every detail in each individual piece of equipment.

Weather resistance of equipment is an extremely important factor in military gear. To be 100% sure that specific gear is guaranteed not to lose its properties and functionality in different weather conditions, we conduct a series of stress tests:

Temperature cycles – cold, heat, thermal shock.
Humidity and drying. Prolonged exposure to high humidity and dry environments, assessment of DWR coating retention, inspection of seams, and functioning of working elements of the equipment.
Moisture resistance level. Mandatory check of water resistance of seams/flaps, operation of drainage holes.
UV resistance. Assessment of fading and loss of tensile strength after prolonged exposure to UV radiation.

Chemical resistance is also checked. Spot tests with reaction to oils, saline solutions, and household chemicals to predict the behavior of gear in various extreme operating conditions.

What Functional Tests Does M-GEAR Military Equipment Pass

Checking the convenience of access to contents with one hand or while wearing gloves is the baseline. In general, testing covers all elements without exception – the geometry of pullers, the fit of pockets relative to plate carriers, body armor and belt platforms, ease of unfastening/fastening hardware, etc.

Compatibility of equipment with additional gear is mandatory checked: placement of pouches, hydration systems, convenience of using knee pads and elbow pads, thigh platforms. Shoulder dampers undergo testing for the absence of point pressure during prolonged wear. Noise (unmasking factors) from the use of individual equipment elements is also taken into account.
