Thanks to the well-balanced balance between power and lightness of the design, the Fenix ​​HM62-T V2.0 headlamp is the optimal choice for trail running, sports training and tourist trips, where high-quality lighting is a guarantee not only of comfort, but also of user safety.

The model is capable of generating a classic white beam (4500-5000K) and a functional red light for short-distance illumination while maintaining night vision or for providing light signals. 3 LEDs are responsible for this: a white Luminus SST40 and a pair of red 2835; each with a service life of at least 50,000 hours.

At maximum power, a beam with a brightness of 1200 lumens shines at a distance of 150 m, and in low mode, the duration of operation reaches 11.5 days. Where to direct the flow of light, the user himself decides, adjusting the inclination of the lamp body on the mount within 90°.

An unusual feature of the model is the presence of a whistle, which is integrated into the rubber band. It is provided in the event of an emergency situation in which it is necessary to give loud sound signals.

Operation modes

Among the 6 modes of operation, 4 are for constant white lighting and 2 for red light. The modes are divided into groups according to the color of the beam to avoid confusion with the controls.

Group with white lighting

The flashlight has a protective circuit that prevents the device from overheating. It activates whenever the electronics inside heat up to 60°C and immediately reduces the current brightness of the beam to prevent the lamp from breaking. Taking into account this protection system, keep in mind that the duration of the model's glow at the highest powers is calculated in addition to work at reduced brightness.

Management features

The Fenix ​​HM62-T V2.0 is controlled by a single button with a textured surface for improved grip and comfortable control, especially with a gloved hand.

• Turn on / off the flashlight: press the button for 5 s.
• Switch light groups: press the button for 5 s when off. lights activates a group with white lighting. Double pressing the button when off. lights allows you to switch to a group with a red beam.
• Change mode: press the button once.

The model has a blocking function, which is activated by pressing the button for 3 seconds when it is off. devices (unlocking is carried out in a similar way).

Power supply

The supplied 18650 battery does not have a "memory effect" and ensures a stable power supply of the lantern under all conditions, including temperature drops from -35°C to 45°C. The manufacturer also allows replacing the branded battery with CR123A batteries.

The battery is charged via the built-in USB Type-C port (charging cable is included). Charging takes 3 hours if the battery is completely discharged.

On the flashlight control button there is an LED indicator for tracking the current amount of charge in the battery:

• Blinking green: 80% - 50%;
• Continuous red: 50% - 20%;

The magnesium alloy, from which the case is made, is characterized by increased strength and resistance to deformation even in case of a fall from a height of 2 m. The design is protected against dirt and moisture according to the highest IP68 standard. The flashlight can be used in rainy and snowy weather, and even if it is accidentally dropped into water at a depth of 2 meters for ≤ 4 hours, the electronics will remain functional.

The forehead band included in the kit is less wide than the light mounts that the company has released before. However, this in no way affected the quality of fixing the accessory on the head, in particular thanks to the patented length adjustment system. The length is changed by turning the valve clockwise or counterclockwise, which allows you to instantly tighten or loosen the fasteners.
