Description of the Fenix ​​LD12R hand-held flashlight:

EDC type flashlight, Fenix ​​LD12R, — it is a miniature helper in lighting a closed room or a small open space during outdoor recreation. The functionality of the model is provided by two LEDs placed on different sides of the case: the main Luminus SST20 with a color temperature of 6500K and the side SC1818C. The service life of both diodes is at least 50 thousand hours.

The brightness of the main LED reaches 600 lumens, while the range of the beam is 186 meters. With the help of the Fenix ​​AOD-S V2.0 branded diffuser, the light can be diffused and used as a handheld flashlight as a camping analogue.

Available lighting options are divided into 2 groups: main and side light.

Main lighting

• High: 600 lm – 8616 cd – 186 m – 1 h 20 min;
• Medium: 150 lm – 2052 cd – 90 m – 3 h 20 min;
• Low: 30 lm – 424 cd – 40 m – 16 h 40 min;
• Moonlight: 1 lm – 18 cd - 9 m.

Side lighting

• Low: 5 lm - 3 cd - 3 m.

Overheating protection is activated every time the temperature inside the lantern reaches 60°C. As a result, the light output is reduced, giving the electronics time to cool down.

Control features

To control the Fenix ​​LD12R interface, you need to press the tail button or turn the main part of the housing.

• Power on / off the flashlight: push the tail button all the way;
• Change the mode group: rotate the housing head when on lanterns until the lights are deactivated. When the head is returned to its original position, the next lighting group is activated.
• Change the brightness of the beam: a short half-press of the tail button.

The model has an intelligent memory circuit that remembers the last used mode of the main group and activates it the next time it is turned on.

Power source

The model is powered by one size battery 14500 included in the kit (Fenix ​​ARB-L14-800). Its nominal voltage is 3.6 V. The flashlight is also compatible with Ni-MH or AA alkaline battery of 1.2V and 1.5V respectively.

The LD12R is equipped with an LED indicator to track the current charge level of the 14500 battery. To view the battery status, you need to loosen the main part of the structure and press the switch. The indicator will turn on for 3 seconds, showing the amount of charge:

• Continuous green: 100% - 85%;
• Blinking green: 85% - 50%;
• Continuous red: 50% - 25%;
• Blinking red: 25% - 1%.

When the charge level is critically low, it is enough to connect the USB cable to the Type-C port built into the case and connect the charger to the network. Charging takes about 2 hours.

Physical parameters

The LD12R flashlight has ultra-compact dimensions of 121 x 22 x 19 mm and an exceptional weight of only 74 grams including the battery. The device has an all-metal body, made on a CNC machine and covered with an anodized anti-abrasive layer, which protects the material from rust and makes it more durable. The impact resistance of the model is 1 meter.

The level of waterproofing of the case — IP68, so the lantern continues to work even after submersion to a depth of 2 meters for 30 minutes.

The design of the tail part of the case allows you to install the model in a vertical position. A magnetic clip fixes the device to any metal surface.
