Fenix PD36R Pro is an update of the popular Fenix PD36R model, offering increased brightness of 2800 lumens. This is a new generation device, which is designed according to the innovative Fenix APF (Advanced Pulse Frequency) technology, which allows you to bypass the current limitation without harming the service life of the electronics and increase the performance of the flashlight.

The heart of the device is the Fenix ARB-L21 form factor 21700 battery with a capacity of 5000 mAh, which is included in the basic package. The battery can be charged without removing it from the battery compartment - this is what the hidden USB Type-C port is for. The included charging cable connects to the port, which charges the battery from 0% to 100% in 3 hours. The charging process is monitored by a color indicator: red – the battery is charging, green – the battery is fully charged. The port is under a silicone plug, which prevents debris from getting inside.

The body of the Pro version is made of aluminum and has maximum protection against water at the IP68 level. The flashlight withstands long-term contact with moisture even in the case of a loosely closed port plug and does not fail when dropped from a height of 1 meter.

Operation modes

The model belongs to the tactical type and is intended for police, military and rescuers who need high-quality illumination of individual objects at short and long distances. 5 standard modes of operation are adjusted to the needs of the user, whether it is night patrolling, ordinary lighting of the space or spot illumination of a distant object. Auxiliary mode stroboscope with a brightness of 2500 lumens is designed for sending signals at a long distance and blinding the opponent.

For ease of use, the lantern remembers the last used mode, eliminating the need to select the desired brightness every time.

Management features

Control is implemented using several buttons located in the tail of the case. They have different shapes so that the user does not confuse them in the dark. The round textured (tactical) switch is responsible for instant on, and the oval (functional) switch is for changing the main modes and accessing the strobe.

Enable/Disable

Half pressing the tactical button instantly activates the device in the last used mode. To turn it off, just remove your finger from the button.
Pressing the tactical button until it clicks turns the light on permanently in the last used mode. Pressing again turns off the light.

Mode selection

Pressing the function switch changes the available brightness modes if constant lighting is activated.

Stroboscope

Holding the function switch activates flashing mode. To turn off the stroboscope, you need to release the button.
To activate the stroboscope in permanent mode, you must first press the tactical button all the way, and then press the function switch for 0.5 seconds. Pressing the function button again returns to normal lighting.

Physical parameters

The 145.8 mm long metal case weighs 169 g including the branded battery. The model fits completely in the palm of your hand and is attached to clothing with a removable steel clip.
