The Fenix ​​TK11R flashlight is equipped with a Luminus SFT40 (Cool White) LED that generates a narrow and long-range light beam, which is also facilitated by a sleek reflector. The model is designed for tactical use, as well as for emergency responders who need a portable and long-lasting light source to successfully perform their tasks.

The manufacturer's stated lifetime of the LED is 50,000 hours, equivalent to more than 5.5 years. One of the advantages of the lantern — the presence of an innovative pulse-frequency signal transmission system (APF) developed by Fenix ​​brand engineers, which allows you to increase the maximum light brightness to 1600 lumens in High mode and the lighting distance to 420 meters.

The capabilities of the flashlight can be expanded using additional accessories: remote button AER-02 V2.0, ALG-00, ALG-05, ALG-06 mounts, ALG-15, ALG-16, as well as using branded light filters AOF-M, AOD-M or AOT-M signal stick (the listed accessories are not included in the main kit and are purchased separately).

Operating modes

The Fenix ​​TK11R interface contains only the most necessary modes with a power of 30 lumens or more. There is a stroboscope mode in which rapid flashes are generated to disorient the enemy or provide light signals in an emergency situation.

It is important to note that the indicated operating time of the High mode is calculated taking into account the duration of the glow on less powerful options lighting, which alternately replace each other in order of decreasing brightness to prevent heating of the internal electronics. This is how intelligent protection against overheating works.

The light has a memory circuit that remembers the mode of operation activated before turning off the model and turns it on again when the light is activated again (does not work for the strobe mode).

Control features

The model has a classic control type characteristic of tactical lights. The switches are placed in the tail of the case for easy access to the interface.

To avoid confusion between the buttons, they have different shapes and surfaces, so even in pitch darkness the user will quickly find the necessary switch.

• A round tactical button with a textured surface is responsible for the instant activation of the flashlight, which is carried out by a light half-press. By pressing the button all the way, you can turn on the constant light mode.
• A smooth oval-shaped switch (functional) allows you to change the working mode with a single press when the light is on. If you need to activate the strobe mode, just press this button.

To prevent the flashlight from accidentally turning on during transportation, the manufacturer recommends removing the battery from the compartment after each use.

Power supply

Recommended power supply format for Fenix ​​TK11R — li-ion battery 18650. An element of this size is included in the package (Fenix ​​ARB-L18). Its capacity is 3600 mAh, continuously powering the lantern for 25.5 hours in Low mode. It is also allowed to use a pair of disposable CR123A lithium batteries with a nominal voltage of 3.0 V instead of a rechargeable battery.

The battery installed in the lantern can be charged through the USB Type-C input port located in the head of the structure and closed with a plug.

The LED indicator is activated each time the model is turned on. It lights up for 3 seconds to show the battery level:

• Green (steady): 100% - 85%;
• Green (blinking): 85% - 50%;
• Red (steady): 50% - 25%;
• Red (blinking): 25% - 1%.

The working voltage of the lantern is in the range from 3.0 V to 8.4 V. When the voltage in the power cell drops below a satisfactory level, the system automatically reduces the brightness of the light until the lowest output power is reached. When this happens, the indicator light starts flashing red as a reminder to charge or replace the power source.

Physical parameters

Using anodized aluminum A6061-T6 as the housing material has given the lantern benchmark strength, making it invulnerable to mechanical damage, including impact from a meter-high drop. The design is supplemented with a sealing ring, another one is included in the set as a spare. As a result, moisture does not penetrate inside the shell (protection class IP68).

Deep ribs in the head of the housing dissipate the heat accumulated during long-term operation of the lantern, and the ribbed knurling ensures a strong hold.

The length of the housing is 145.5 mm, the diameter of the head — 34 mm, and the diameter of the tail — 23.5 mm. The weight of the model is 117.5 g, not including the power source.
