Description of the Fenix TK20R UE hand-held flashlight, camouflage:

Law enforcement officers and military personnel need special lighting devices capable of withstanding high loads and at the same time providing high-quality illumination of long distances. Especially for this category of users, the Fenix brand has developed the TK20R UE flashlight — a compact model with a brightness of up to 2800 lumens when working in Turbo mode.

One of the best LEDs on the modern market — Luminus SFT70 with a service life exceeding 50,000 hours — is built into the lantern. The color temperature of the beam is 6500K. Cold white light is characterized by increased range, which in this model reaches almost half a kilometer.

Fenix TK20R has several useful options. Among them is protection against overheating. It activates whenever the case temperature rises to 60°C and instantly reduces the light output so that the heat does not affect the life of the electronics in a negative way. There is also a gradual decrease in brightness when the amount of charge in the power cell drops.

Operation modes

Two separate groups of modes are available for user selection. The tactical group includes several basic lighting options: Turbo and flashing stroboscope, which is designed for instant disorientation of the enemy, and is also suitable for providing light signals. The service group includes four modes with constant lighting with a power of 30 lumens and above.

The specified operating time in Turbo mode takes into account the duration of the glow in the modes with lower brightness, which the lantern switches to due to the activation of the overheating protection.

Management features

The control system consists of a classic round button and a FlexiSensa rotary switch — a patented mechanism that provides quick access to any of the light groups. Both switches are located in the tail of the flashlight, so they are easy to press / rotate with your thumb while holding the device.

Instantly turn on the flashlight: half-press the round button. It is enough to release the button for the lantern to turn off again.
Turn on / off the constant light: press the button until it clicks.
Change the mode group: rotate the FlexiSensa switch.
Change the operating mode: half-press the button. Before changing the mode, it is necessary to make sure that the desired group of modes is selected.

When the light is not in use, it can be locked to prevent the light from activating if the control button is accidentally touched while the model is being transported. To lock the lighting device, turn the FlexiSensa switch all the way to the right (position marked with a closed lock symbol). To unlock and turn on the flashlight, it is enough to turn the switch to the left, selecting any lighting group. In this case, the light level that was working before blocking is activated.

Power source

Fenix TK20R UE is compatible with 21700 batteries with a voltage of 3.6 V. One power cell of this type is sufficient for power supply. The battery compartment is accessed by unscrewing the tail cover.

The kit already includes a branded battery ARB-L21-5000 V2.0, designed specifically for powering devices with high consumption. Instead, you can use ARB-L21-5000U, ARB-L21-4000P or elements from other manufacturers, if the user is sure of their quality. Please note that 18650, 16340 and CR123A batteries are not compatible with this model.

To simplify battery charging, the manufacturer built a USB Type-C charging port into the body of the flashlight. You need to slightly unscrew the head of the structure to expose the port and connect to it the appropriate cable that can be found in the kit. The average charging time is 4 hours.

You can accurately determine the degree of charging with the help of one indicator. At first, it lights up red, changing to green when the amount of charge reaches the limit value.

Physical parameters

The Fenix TK20R UE case has dimensions of 153.7 x 34 x 25.4 millimeters. It is made of damage-resistant A6061-T6 aluminum with a premium anodized coating that protects the material from scratches. Metal has a number of advantages: it does not rust, cools quickly and resists deformation in case of impact on a hard surface after falling from a height of one and a half meters.

There is a rubber seal on the thread when the tail cap is unscrewed. Thanks to it, drops of liquid and dust do not get inside the case. The class of dust and waterproofing is IP68.

The lighting device weighing 135 grams can be attached to a belt, bag or clothing pocket using a detachable clip. The set is also supplemented with a lanyard for the hand and a branded cover for more convenient storage of the lantern.

The model is compatible with many Fenix accessories that increase its functionality: with ALG-00, ALG-16 M-Lok and ALG-18 mounts, with ALR-01 tactical ring and AER-05 remote button. The listed accessories are purchased separately.
