Fenix ​​BC15R model — it is an ultra-light cycle bike for city and off-road riding. It can be attached in several ways: to a bicycle handlebar or to a bicycle helmet, which will be appreciated not only by an amateur cyclist, but also by a professional triathlete. For this, you can use Fenix ​​ALD-08 or Fenix ​​ALD-10 brand mounts (purchased separately). Thanks to the ergonomic case, the device can also be used as an alternative source of light in a manual format.

The built-in LED of cold white color Luminus SST20 (6500K) generates a wide beam with a brightness of up to 400 lumens. Even at maximum power, the light flux gently illuminates the distance, without blinding other road users and random passers-by. The service life of the diode reaches 50 thousand hours.

Operating modes

The interface has not only options with constant lighting, but also one flashing mode. The brightness of the modes varies from 50 to 400 lumens, which allows you to choose the optimal power depending on the current needs of the cyclist.

• High: 400 lumens - 1504 candelas - 78 meters - 3 hours 40 minutes;
• Medium: 150 lumens - 549 candelas - 47 meters – 10 hours 30 minutes;
• Low: 50 lumens – 200 candelas – 28 meters – 31 hours 30 minutes;
• Flicker: 400 / 50 lumens.

The presence of overheating protection eliminates the risk of failure of the LED and other internal electronics during long-term work at maximum capacity. If the temperature of the velolight exceeds the mark of 60°C, the current brightness is automatically reduced by a couple of lumens to give the electronics time to cool down.

Another useful function — the memory of the last mode, which, when the model is turned on, activates the mode with the same brightness that worked before the device was turned off (only works for modes with constant light).

Control features

The only button that is located on the top of the case for quick access is responsible for control. This increases the convenience of operating the model while cycling.

• Activate flashing mode: double press the button.

Power source

The Fenix ​​BC15R bike light is powered by a 2600mAh 18650 battery. The power element is built into the model. It is charged through the USB Type-C port, located on the side of the case and protected by a plug.

For charging, you can use the branded cable from the kit or any other with a similar connector. It takes about 2 hours to charge the battery to 100%. The degree of charge can be monitored by the LED indicator in the control button.

Physical parameters

The body is completely made of ultra-durable polycarbonate (PC), which has withstood a drop from a height of 1.5 meters during laboratory tests. The upper surface of the case is dotted with deep ribs — they are responsible for the accelerated removal of heat accumulated during the operation of the velofara.

The moisture protection of the housing in accordance with the IP66 standard allows the model to be used even in extreme conditions. The lighting device is not afraid of water, temperature changes, and the tightness of the joints ensures that dust and dirt will not get inside the case during the entire operational period.

The dimensions of the case are 102 x 31.5 x 31 mm, and its weight barely reaches the mark of 109 g, including the built-in battery.
